Gauge Faces & Instrument Dial Plates

Milmark custom dial and gauge faces for process instruments, replacing factory dials with correctly scaled faces showing the right units

  • Reproduced to original specification, or redesigned for a retrofit
  • Legacy dial plates reverse-engineered from samples or drawings
  • Operating zones printed in green, yellow, and red as required
  • New units, new range or a new scale on the same movement

Product Description

A gauge face is usually replaced for one of two reasons: the original is unreadable, or the instrument is being reused on a duty it was not originally scaled for. Both end at the same place, which is a correctly scaled face showing the right units and the right operating zones for where the instrument actually sits.

Reproduced, or redesigned. Existing dial plates can be reverse-engineered and reproduced from samples or drawings, so an obsolete instrument keeps working rather than being replaced. Or the face is redesigned for a retrofit, with new units, a new range or a new scale, on the same movement.

Operating zones. Green, yellow and red bands printed onto the face, so an operator reads normal, caution and alarm at a glance instead of reading a number and then remembering what it means. Tell us the thresholds rather than the colours and we will set the bands out.

Fit. Dials are matched to your existing diameter and fixing arrangement, or produced to new specifications. The dimension that matters most is the fixing centres and the spindle hole, not the outside diameter, so send the old face or a dimensioned sketch rather than a measurement taken off the bezel.

Milmark dial and gauge faces for analogue instruments, meters, and control equipment. Supplied to instrument manufacturers and maintenance teams across Singapore.

Produced alongside our rating, data and compliance plates and custom metal nameplates, so an instrument and the equipment it sits on carry one scheme.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Legacy dial plates can be reverse-engineered and reproduced from samples or drawings, so an instrument that is otherwise sound keeps working rather than being replaced for the sake of its face.

Yes. The face can be redesigned with new units, a new range or a new scale on the same movement, which is the usual reason an instrument is reused rather than scrapped.

Tell us the thresholds rather than the colours and we set the bands out from them, so an operator reads normal, caution and alarm at a glance instead of reading a number and recalling what it means.

The fixing centres and the spindle hole matter more than the outside diameter. Send the old face or a dimensioned sketch rather than a measurement taken off the bezel, which is the usual source of a face that does not sit right.

Faces are produced to new specifications where there is no original. Send the movement dimensions and the scale you need and we will set it out.

Analogue instruments, meters and control equipment generally, including process instruments being returned to service or repurposed.
