Energy & Utilities

Engraved rating plates, valve tags, lockout tags and durable safety signage for power, water and utility sites.

Singapore's energy and utilities network spans power generation, the transmission grid, water treatment and gas distribution, alongside a growing solar footprint. All of it relies on identification that stays readable for decades. Assets sit outdoors and in electrical environments, where marking supports maintenance planning, safe isolation and lockout, and clear hazard warning at substations, switchrooms and plant.

Million produces durable identification in-house for exactly these conditions: engraved and chemically-etched rating and compliance plates (Milmark) that outlast adhesive labels, valve tags and pipe markers for water and process services, lockout and tagout tags for energy isolation, and printed safety signage (Milscreen). Stainless steel, brass and anodised aluminium suit long outdoor service lives, so identification holds up across transmission, treatment and distribution sites.

Utility assets are exposed to outdoor weathering, UV radiation, and maintenance handling over decades of service life. Our engraved and chemically-etched identification is specified for infrastructure assets where adhesive labels are unreliable, and our team can advise on the correct material and fixing method for each installation environment.

IEC 60079 SS 508 MOM WSH SP PowerGrid standards ISO 3864 ISO 20560

Substation & switchgear labelling

Arc flash, equipment identification, and hazard warning labels for HV and LV switchgear, meeting IEC 60079 and SP PowerGrid standards.

Pipe & valve identification

Colour-coded pipe markers and valve tags for water, gas, and power utility installations following SS and ISO pipe marking standards.

Outdoor asset & maintenance tags

Durable stainless steel tags for outdoor infrastructure assets: transmission towers, substations, and distribution equipment.

Safety & regulatory signage

Mandatory and prohibition signs for electrical, water, and gas utility sites meeting MOM and SP Group safety requirements.

The in-house marking and finishing methods behind the products above.

SP PowerGrid and MOM require arc flash warning labels, equipment identification plates, and circuit identification on all HV and LV switchgear. Labels must comply with ISO 3864-2 and SS 638 and be rated for the outdoor or indoor installation environment.

For outdoor utility infrastructure, engraved stainless steel or UV-stable aluminium identification plates are recommended. These resist UV degradation, temperature cycling, and physical handling over a 20+ year service life, conditions under which adhesive labels typically fail within 2–5 years.

Pipe marking follows ISO 20560 and SS 508, specifying colour codes and label formats for different pipe contents. Water pipes are green, gas pipes are yellow, and electrical conduits are orange. Flow direction and content identification must be applied at valves, junctions, and wall penetrations.

Yes. We supply engraved stainless steel nameplates, aluminium asset tags, and UV-stable warning signs for substations, transmission towers, and distribution infrastructure, all suitable for long-term outdoor exposure in Singapore's tropical climate.

Yes. We produce lockout and tagout tags to support safe isolation procedures on electrical, mechanical, and process energy sources. Tags can be made in durable materials suited to the switchroom or outdoor environment and formatted to your isolation procedure.
