Marine & Offshore
IMO-format signs, stainless steel valve tags, nameplates and photoluminescent safety signage for shipyards, vessels and offshore platforms.
Overview
Singapore is a leading marine and offshore centre and the world's largest bunkering port, with busy shipyards, rig builders and vessel operators. These environments face constant salt spray, humidity and vibration. They rely on identification produced to IMO and class-society formats, including safety and evacuation signs, machinery-space valve tags and pipe markers, and durable nameplates that stay readable for the life of the vessel.
Million produces this range in-house in marine-suited materials: stainless steel 316 and anodised aluminium nameplates and valve tags, printed pipe markers to the marine colour conventions, and photoluminescent safety and low-location signage produced to the IMO format. Where class-society documentation or a specific approval is required, we work to your specified material and marking requirements so the identification fits your survey and audit needs.
Marine environments are among the most corrosive in the world. Our stainless steel and anodised aluminium marking solutions are routinely specified for vessels, rigs, and offshore platforms operating in the South China Sea and beyond. We understand flag state and class society requirements and can advise on the correct material grades for each application.

Common Marine & Offshore applications
Vessel & equipment nameplates
IMO-format stainless steel nameplates for vessel machinery, safety equipment, and structural identification, suitable for continuous salt spray exposure.
Pipe & valve tags
Colour-coded stainless steel tags for piping systems, valves, and instrumentation on vessels, rigs, and offshore platforms.
Safety & SOLAS signage
Photoluminescent and rigid safety signs produced to SOLAS and MED formats for maritime safety equipment identification.
Class society documentation labels
Durable labels and tags for machinery and equipment requiring Lloyd's, DNV, or ABS class society traceability.

Frequently asked questions
IMO regulations require vessel names and port of registry on the hull, and equipment nameplates identifying machinery, safety systems, and emergency equipment. SOLAS Chapter II-2 mandates photoluminescent low-location lighting and exit signs on passenger and cargo vessels.
316L stainless steel is the preferred material for offshore pipe tags due to its resistance to chloride-induced corrosion in salt spray environments. Tags are laser-engraved for permanence and attached with stainless steel banding wire. Adhesive labels are not suitable for offshore piping.
Lloyd's Register, DNV, ABS, and BV all require documented identification of critical machinery, pressure vessels, and safety systems. Nameplates must show manufacturer, model, serial number, pressure rating, and date of manufacture. We can advise on the specific format required by each class society.
Yes. We supply ISO 15370 and IMO-format photoluminescent safety signs for vessels, including exit signs, muster station signs, lifeboat and life raft location signs, and fire equipment identification signs.
Yes. We can produce full sets of machinery-space valve tags and pipe markers to the marine colour conventions, in salt-spray-resistant materials attached by stainless banding rather than adhesive. Producing a complete set to one specification keeps identification uniform across the compartment. Send your valve schedule or line list and we will produce to it.
