Semiconductor & Electronics

Barcode and asset labels, equipment nameplates and control panel labels for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.

Singapore is a global semiconductor and electronics manufacturing base, home to wafer fabs, assembly and test operations and their equipment suppliers. Production runs in tightly controlled cleanroom environments, where wafers, tooling and equipment must be traceable for yield and quality. Any identification also has to survive frequent wipe-down and cleaning without shedding particles or lifting.

That means identification built for the requirement: barcode and asset labels that stay put through repeated cleaning, equipment nameplates and control panel labels, and marking that suits ESD-controlled and cleanroom areas. Million produces these in-house through printing (Milscreen), engraving and laser marking (Milmark) and fabrication (Milrex). Where a cleanroom, low-outgassing or ESD-safe rating is specified, we work to your required material so the label fits your fab's controls.

Semiconductor and electronics facilities require contamination-free identification with precise, consistent marking. Our low-outgassing labels and chemically-etched plates are produced in controlled conditions and are specified where conventional adhesive labels are unsuitable.

Materials and marking methods selected to meet the standards this industry works to. Technical data sheets and documentation available on request for your audit file.

Cleanroom-compatible labels

Ultra-clean, low-outgassing labels and nameplates for cleanroom environments, suitable for Class 10 to Class 1000 applications.

Wafer carrier & equipment tagging

Laser-marked or chemically-etched identification for wafer carriers, process tools, and semiconductor equipment.

ESD-safe markings

Electrostatic discharge safe labels and tags that will not compromise sensitive electronic components or assemblies.

Traceability & serialisation

High-density barcode and QR code labels for component traceability across the full semiconductor supply chain.

Cleanroom labels must be manufactured from low-outgassing, non-shedding materials that do not contaminate the controlled environment. ISO 14644 Class 1–5 cleanrooms require labels specifically rated for the cleanliness class. We supply cleanroom-compatible polyimide and stainless steel labels.

ESD-safe labels are manufactured from materials with controlled surface resistivity that prevent electrostatic discharge, the sudden transfer of charge that can damage sensitive electronic components. Standard adhesive labels can generate charges of several thousand volts when removed; ESD-safe alternatives eliminate this risk.

Wafer carriers are typically identified with laser-marked or chemically-etched stainless steel plates carrying a unique serial number, lot number, and barcode. These must survive automated washing cycles and cleanroom chemical exposure without degradation or contamination.

Yes. We supply serialised polyimide and metallic barcode and QR code labels for component traceability in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing. Labels can be supplied in any sequence, with consecutive serial numbers or customer-specified coding formats.

Yes. Alongside cleanroom and traceability labels, we produce equipment nameplates and control panel labels for process tools and their supporting equipment. These can be made in materials suited to ESD-controlled and cleanroom areas where required.
