GHS & Chemical Hazard Labels

GHS labels and chemical hazard labels printed to the nine-pictogram GHS set, for containers, decanted vessels and chemical stores.

  • All nine GHS pictograms in the red diamond, to standard proportions
  • Signal word, product identifier, and the H and P statements your data sheet specifies
  • Secondary container labels for decanted drums, spray bottles and sample jars
  • Symbols-only labels where the container is too small for the full text

Product Description

A GHS label is the one piece of safety marking with a fixed grammar. The pictogram set, the red diamond border, the signal word and the statement codes are all defined, which means a drum in a store in Singapore is read the same way by somebody who has never seen the product before.

The nine pictograms. Flame for flammables. Flame over circle for oxidisers. Exploding bomb for explosives. Gas cylinder for gases under pressure. Corrosion for corrosives. Skull and crossbones for acute toxicity. Health hazard for carcinogens and respiratory sensitisers. Exclamation mark for irritants. And environment for aquatic toxicity. All printed to the standard proportions in the red diamond.

Where most GHS labels are actually needed. Not on the supplier's original container, which arrives labelled, but on the secondary container: the decanted drum, the spray bottle, the transfer vessel, the sample jar. That is the container that loses its identity fastest and the one an inspector asks about. Send the list of what you decant and we print a set.

What goes on the label. The pictogram or pictograms, the signal word, Danger or Warning, the product identifier, and the hazard and precautionary statements your safety data sheet specifies. Supplier details and batch fields where you need them. Symbols only, where the label is small and the full text sits on a nearby board instead.

We print to your classification, we do not make it. Which pictogram, which signal word and which H and P statements apply come from your safety data sheet or your chemical safety assessment. We produce the label to that classification. We do not determine the classification, and we will say so rather than guess at it.

Materials. Durable vinyl resistant to chemicals, UV and abrasion, which matters more here than on most labels: a GHS label lives on the container it is warning about, and gets splashed by it. Indoor and outdoor. Custom sizes, and multilingual text where the people handling the substance do not share a language.

Supplied to chemical handlers, laboratories, shipyards and industrial facilities across Singapore. Where the marking is about the area rather than the container, see our industrial safety and warning signs; for the ISO 7010 set used elsewhere on the same site, our safety sign labels; and for switchrooms and panels, our electrical hazard signs.

Yes, for containers too small to carry the full text, with the complete hazard information on a nearby board instead. Tell us the container size and we will advise which format fits.
