Product Description

A custom name tag is worn every day, usually on a uniform, and it is judged at a glance. Every badge we make is personalised: your logo, your colours, and a name on each one. An engraved metal name tag survives that treatment for years: the lettering is cut into the material rather than printed on top, so it cannot scuff off, fade in sunlight, or lift at the edges after a few months in a kitchen or on a plant floor.

We engrave name tags in stainless steel, anodised aluminium and brass, and in acrylic and engraving laminate where a colour-coded scheme or a lighter badge is wanted. Stainless steel suits food handling, healthcare and anywhere that gets wiped down. Anodised aluminium takes a crisp mark at a lower weight. Engraving laminate is the practical choice for large staff numbers, since colour can carry meaning: one colour per department, per site, or per access level.

Where a photograph, full-colour logo or gradient is needed, badges are printed rather than engraved. Name tag printing and name badge printing are done in-house on the same equipment. UV flatbed printing lays ink directly onto metal, acrylic or laminate and holds fine detail and solid colour. Printing suits full-colour branding and short runs; engraving suits anything that has to survive years of daily wear.

Printed badges can be finished with epoxy doming. A clear resin is poured over the face and cures into a raised, slightly convex lens that magnifies the artwork beneath it and gives a deep gloss. The dome is hard, so it takes knocks and cleaning without the print underneath being touched, and it is what gives a badge the moulded look seen on membership pins and hotel and retail name badges. It can be applied over UV printed work, and over an insert badge so the frame is domed while the name card stays changeable.

Backings: magnetic, pin, or crocodile clip. Magnetic is the usual choice for uniforms and good clothing because it leaves no pin holes, and it is what most hospitality and retail customers ask for. Pin backs remain the cheaper option for short runs and events, and clips suit places where a badge has to move between garments during a shift.

Reusable badges carry a fixed company logo with a changeable name insert, so one badge serves a rotating group. That works for visitor programmes, contractors on site, conference delegates and school or training-centre passes, where the wearer changes but the badge does not.

Shape is not fixed to a rectangle. Badges are laser cut or die cut to an outline, so a badge can follow a logo, a rounded or shield profile, or a shape specific to your brand. Cutting is done in-house on the same equipment used for our industrial work.

Artwork: send print-ready files if you have them. If you do not, send your logo and the wording and our designers will set out the layout, confirm sizes and letter heights with you, and produce a proof before anything is cut.

Typical users are staff and company identification, visitor and contractor passes, students and training centres, conferences and events. Quantities run from a single replacement badge to a full staff rollout. We are a Singapore name tag supplier making to order rather than reselling a stock range, so customised name tags and name badges are the normal job here, not a special request. Where what you need is a credit-card sized plastic card carrying a photograph and a barcode rather than a badge worn on clothing, that is our ID card printing.

For a permanent engraved plate on a door, desk or piece of equipment rather than a badge worn on clothing, see our custom nameplates in metal and acrylic.
