Product Description

Printed plastic cards for the people who need to be identified at your door: staff, contractors, visitors, students and members. Every card is produced to the standard credit-card size, in full colour, on one or both sides, and each one can carry its own photograph, name and number.

What we print. The construction is the same in every case, so the difference is what the card carries and how long it has to last.

Variable data on every card. This is the part that distinguishes PVC card printing from ordinary printing. Send us a spreadsheet of names, numbers and a folder of photographs, and each card comes off individually printed with its own data rather than a run of identical cards. Sequential numbering, barcodes, QR codes and employee numbers are all generated from your file, so a batch of three hundred staff cards needs one data sheet from you and nothing else.

Card size and stock. Cards are produced to the standard ID-1 format used by bank and credit cards, 85.6 by 54 mm, so they fit any off-the-shelf holder, wallet slot or lanyard clip without modification. Standard PVC in white is the default and what most programmes use. Transparent PVC is available where the design calls for it, and cards can be printed on one side or on both. The finished card is the same size and feel as a bank card, so it fits any standard holder, wallet slot or lanyard clip.

How the cards are printed. These run on a dedicated retransfer card printer rather than a general-purpose press. The image is printed onto a clear film which is then bonded to the card, which means two things in practice: the artwork runs right to the edge of the card with no white border, and the printed image sits under the film rather than on the surface, so it survives being handled, swiped and dropped into a bag every day. Cards are produced in our own workshop in Singapore.

Artwork and data. Send your own design and we will print from it, or send a logo and a description of what the card has to show and our in-house graphic designers will set the layout out for you. We accept the common design and image formats. For the personalised data, a spreadsheet with one row per card is all we need, with the photograph filenames matching the rows.

Where what you actually want is a reusable badge worn on clothing rather than a printed plastic card, see our name tags and badges, which covers pin, magnet and lanyard badges. Printed and supplied to corporations, institutions and government agencies across Singapore.

Where a card carries a barcode that has to match an asset or equipment register rather than a person, the same numbering is produced as our asset and equipment tags.

Frequently Asked Questions

Staff and employee identification cards, contractor and worker passes, visitor passes, membership and VIP cards, and event credentials. All are printed in full colour on standard credit-card sized PVC, on one side or both, and each card can carry its own photograph, name, title, number, barcode or QR code.

Yes, and this is normally how these jobs run. Send a spreadsheet with one row per card and a folder of photographs whose filenames match the rows, and every card is printed with its own data: name, employee number, photograph, sequential number, barcode or QR code. A batch of three hundred cards needs one data file from you.

Yes. Send your artwork and we will print from it, in any of the common design and image formats. If you only have a logo, our in-house graphic designers can set out the card layout for you, including where the photograph, the data fields and the code sit.

A PVC card is credit-card sized, carries personalised printed data, and is normally worn on a lanyard or used with an access system. A name badge is worn on clothing with a pin or a magnet, is usually reusable, and carries a name rather than a data record. We make both, and name badges are a separate product.

Yes. PVC card printing is the same process: a full-colour card printed and laminated to the standard credit-card size, with or without an access chip. Tell us the quantity and whether the cards have to work with a reader you already have.
