Product Description
A pipe marker, or pipe label, answers the first question anybody asks in a plant room: what is in this line. It has to answer it from a distance, in bad light, years after it was fitted, and to somebody who has never seen the drawings.
Where they go. At every valve, either side of a wall or floor penetration, at junctions and tees, at both ends of a run, and at intervals along a long straight so the next marker is never more than a glance away. On insulated pipework the marker goes onto the cladding rather than the pipe.
What goes on them. The line contents, and usually more: a flow direction arrow, a hazard pictogram, a line reference from the P&ID, and pressure or temperature ratings where the line carries them. Send us a line schedule as a spreadsheet and we will print straight from it, so nothing is retyped and nothing is lost in transcription.
Colour schemes. Printed to the ASME A13.1 pipe identification colour scheme, to ISO 14726 for marine and offshore work, or to a client colour standard where a project specifies its own. Colours are Pantone matched, which matters when markers added next year have to sit beside markers fitted this year without looking like a repair.
Materials and durability. Milscreen™ pipe markers are printed onto 140 micron PVC with a clear laminate over the print, rated from -40°C to +80°C with an adhesive strength of 18 N/25 mm. Outdoor durability is two years, and indoors considerably longer. The base film is tested to ISO 4892-2: 2006 for weathering, DIN 4102-B1 for flame and DIN 50021 for salt spray. Retroreflective stock is available for plant lit only by torchlight during a shutdown, and photoluminescent for marking that has to stay readable if the lights fail.
Fitting them. The surface has to be clean, dry and free of grease. Self-adhesive vinyl conforms to a curved pipe without lifting at the edges, and the marker is wrapped so the overlap faces away from the side anyone normally approaches from. Tell us the pipe outside diameter and whether the run is lagged, because a marker sized for bare pipe will not reach round the cladding.
Supplied to oil and gas, marine, pharmaceutical, semiconductor and general manufacturing plant across Singapore. Where you need the direction shown separately, see our flow direction arrow tapes; for continuous colour banding along a run, our pipe marking tape; and to identify the valves on the line itself, our valve tags.

Yes. Contents, a flow direction arrow, a hazard pictogram, a P&ID line reference and pressure or temperature ratings can all sit on one marker. Send a line schedule as a spreadsheet and we print straight from it.
