Flow Direction Arrow Tapes
Flow Direction Arrow Tapes
Milscreen™ flow direction arrow tapes and die-cut arrows, showing which way a line runs at valves, junctions and along
- Continuous self-adhesive tape, die-cut arrows, or combined arrow and pipe marker sets
- Sized to the pipe outside diameter so the arrow reads from the approach side
- Printed vinyl with a clear laminate over the print for washdown and handling
- Retroreflective for torchlit plant, photoluminescent to DIN 67510 if lighting fails
Product Description
A pipe marker says what is in the line. A flow direction arrow says which way it is going. On a manifold or a plant room wall where several lines run together, the second question is the one that stops somebody isolating the wrong side of a valve.
Where the arrows go. At every valve, at junctions and tees, either side of a wall or floor penetration, and at intervals along a long straight run so the direction is never more than a glance away. On insulated pipework the tape goes onto the cladding rather than the pipe.
Formats. Continuous flow arrow tape for wrapping a run, die-cut directional arrow tape for applying individually, and combined sets where the arrow and the pipe marker are supplied as one piece so the contents and the direction are read together.
Materials and finishes. Printed vinyl with a clear laminate over the top, which is what lets it survive washdown and handling. Retroreflective for plant lit only by torchlight during a shutdown, and photoluminescent to DIN 67510 where the marking has to stay readable if the lights fail. Printed to the ASME A13.1 colour scheme and Pantone colour-matched, with the base film weathering-tested to ISO 4892-2: 2006.
Applying them. The surface has to be clean and dry, and the tape is wrapped so the overlap faces away from the side anyone normally approaches from. Self-adhesive vinyl conforms to a curved pipe without lifting at the edges. Tell us the pipe outside diameter and whether the run is insulated and we will size the arrows to it, because an arrow that wraps too far round a small pipe cannot be read from the side it matters on.
Supplied to oil and gas, marine, pharmaceutical and manufacturing facilities across Singapore. Where you also need the line contents marked, see our pipe markers and pipe marking tape.

Clean and dry the pipe, then wrap the tape so the arrow points along the flow and the overlap faces away from the side people normally approach from. Pipe markers identify what is in the line; arrow tape shows which way it is moving. On a manifold where several lines run together the direction is the thing that stops somebody isolating the wrong side of a valve. Combined sets carry both on one piece.
